Sitta framför brasan o titta ut i stormen.

Training

After à nice Christmas and new year are we back to work again.
We have got à little bit of snow, but no problem to training dogs.

One of the dogs I like to train just now is Taff, à son of Jim and John ” the stickmaker” Fotheringhams Abbey.
He’s very much like his father, very nice outruns on long distans, very nice flanks, start driving well.
Just now we training à lot on driving and to find his own flu in the fetch.

Sam is another nice dog to train, just young, but very nice moves and feeling for the sheep.
He’s still à little tence on the top if the distance is to long.

2013 Welcome

We say welcome to 2013!!!

We have had a very soft and easy Christmas, mostly because of my knee operation.
So we have just done the absolute most important things, like take care of the dogs and looking after the sheep.

But now we slowly start up to training dogs again, they was really keen and loved to come out on the training field again.
I can’t train any of the young ones yet, but I had my nursery dogs out, did some shedding and turnback training with them, they was going well.

I also had Joe out for a run, he was keen like hell, didn’t want to stop, so we had a little talk about that and he took it really well.

I also had Taff out, normally it’s Alex who train him, but now and then I run him.
He’s a really good outrunner, send him on 200 m outruns and he doing that really good, he’s coming on well.

Lotta had some of her young ones out, hot like hell, Dan start to going well, very nice little dog, Blu is always nice, so good with the sheep, Ross keen as usual, but takes all the commands well, Meg a young very promising young bitch by Dewi Tweed.

We have a lots of young ones coming on, who should be interesting to put in some daily training.

Looking forward to a very interesting 2013.

Take Care out there.
